Same thing happened to me. Honestly looking up attachment styles (I had no idea about them before this) and realized he was an dismissive avoidant. It helped me to watch some videos and read some stuff. It confirmed it wasn’t my fault and he will be alone for the rest of his life due to his cycle. The first three days I felt like this too. It’s been less than a week for me. It gets better. Talk to friends, family etc. don’t isolate. Keep trying to eat, go for a walk, journal…whatever you have to do to get through these initial feelings. Feel your feelings, but don’t wallow in misery and self defeating thoughts do something with them. I took a bath and I screamed and I scrubbed my body. He made me feel so disgusting, having sex with me right before blind siding me with a breakup. I felt so much better afterwards. Journaling, talking walks and meditation helped me a lot. Still sad, still hurt but I know I’m gonna be okay. You will too ❤️

I’m so sorry this happened to you. The feeling and thought of not being someone worth fighting and changing for is unfair and terrible. Right now I have a hard time seeing a future for myself if he’s not in it. I feel like I have given this everything I had and I have nothing left to give myself now. His face is there as soon as I close my eyes, his voice is in my head as soon as it gets quiet. I’m still panicking, crying and I’m so scared. But somewhere deep inside I know that I can’t completely give up on myself. I will look into attachment styles, hopefully I can come to a better understanding.
