Won’t allow club passes

I’ve been flying with United for 10 years loyally. Won’t even look at other airline prices. We always pay the money for the pass to sit in the lounge and enjoy the airport, today in SFO the employee wouldn’t let us buy a pass and turned down two other couples. She said it’s members only and wouldn’t sell passes. The lounge did not have even 25% capacity. The rudeness shown in this interaction has left me with such a bad taste in my mouth. Not so much we couldn’t gain access but the rude employee has lost my loyalty. I hope non of you other loyalists deal with this.
