What's the most coziest/wholesome moment you've had while playing the game?
I know this seems like a well done and clichéd question; but I'm genuinely curious with ya'll experiences with our funny hat simulator.
For me personally:
I remember joining a random community server when a group of random guys taught me how to rocket jump and let me land a few hits on them using the market gardener. They were so encouraging and really helped me discover the fun of using soldier ^^
During a VSH match, some dude was doing some really good impressions of SpongeBob characters so I decided to play some music from the show (at moderate volume of course), which led to ultimately everyone suggesting some funny lines for the dude to say in character. It lead to some pretty wild stuff like Squidward vouching for Spongebob to go on a crusade for the Catholic church or Mr.Krabs ranting about Cyberpunk2077.
3.When I played as Engie during the Krampus Christmas map, I remember a cute pyro was always following me and hitting my dispensers and sentries with his fire axe while fighting away spies
And finally:
4.Playing matches on a Singaporean Castaway.Tf server and getting to know some fellow Asian players and generally having a great and enjoyable time sharing music tastes, discussing contemporary news or random stuff.
Honestly, I can go on and on with just how much warmth this game brought to my otherwise dull life. I used to play Valorant or League, but at some point, TF2 transcended more from a game and became a 3D social chatbox. Sure, there are times where people are generally toxic especially with competitive players, but for the most part, its probably the reason why I just love to hang out with randos or engage in the funny.
I don't play the game or any video game as much as I used to (trying to heal from my crippling gaming addiction lel); but I can't forget how much this game touched my life and prompted me to see how beautiful the world can be especially when people aren't generally dicks to one another.
