I wanted to get into the series and saw this games were well received while also looking modern enough for my tastes. I saw some criticism about the Xillia games and its map designs, so I'm a bit concerned about that since I like good looking environments and cities/towns in games. I also saw some people in this subreddit say Arise isn't as good as the previous entries, so I'm a bit concerned since that's the one I'm mostly looking for because of the graphics and music.
