increase in eating content

a long one:

so, I am on tirzepatide (weight loss injections) because my hormones, cholesterol, and weight went crazy before I finally got a celiac diagnosis. semaglutide was not suggested for me because my main goal was to lose weight/reduce cholesterol, and I knew this would eventually help with my hormones. this being said I have changed my diet drastically. not only have I had to cut out gluten, which definitely helped with accelerating my initial weight loss, but I have trouble even eating anything remotely unhealthy, greasy, or sugary because the medication doesn’t make me hungry and when I do need food, my body tells me I need nourishment.

not only am I on these shots (i’ve lost 40 pounds since February), but my parents are on Ozempic and have had similar results. I am a HUGE foodie and love to cook. I also travel out of the country multiple times a year. I have gone on a few trips since i’ve started medication and have been able to try most of the foods I want, but I always ask my friends/boyfriend to share with me because I know that the majority of what I am eating will go to waste if this doesn’t happen. also, when you take these medications, it’s a different type of fullness that you feel. for example, I had a glass of water this morning at 8am and it’s almost noon and I STILL feel full. it almost makes you sick.

i’m just wondering, as there has been an influx of food content and constant eating, is Remi just sick all of the time? everyone I know who is on these injections would be throwing up with the amount of food she is forcing herself to eat. it almost makes me nauseous to watch because I know how she’s feeling when she eats that much. it makes me want to yell at my screen because I just know she is throwing most of it away after 1 bite instead of just sharing. the overconsumption of food is probably the most unbearable aspect of her content because she has to have other viewers like me who are on similar medication and who KNOW she has to be wasting so much food.

the thing is, it feels like she’s putting on a show for her viewers to be like “look, i’m still eating whatever I want because I regulated my hormones through Ozempic,” but Ozempic is NOT a miracle drug and it takes a lot of diet and exercise for you to lose weight without eventually plateauing.

P.S. hoping this helps with understanding the use of these injections for autoimmune disorders - they can really work!
