My first snake!
I just got my first snake, she’s a baby corn and I love her so much already. I’m just feeling kind of paranoid bc she’s my first and I have a few questions.
I’ve read hearing pads can cause burns for snakes, would it be ok to use one on the side of her tank at night or is that a bad idea? If not, what should I use for a night time heat source? I’m worried my house gets too cold at night to just let the temp drop, I know corns can stand a night time temp drop but my husband keeps our house thermostat at like 65 at night and that just seems too cold.
She came out to explore a few minutes last night, but since then has been hiding and completely invisible. I’ve read this is super normal for baby corns, but I guess my question is when should I worry? I’m not used to having a pet I can’t see all the time so I didn’t anticipate how nervous this would make me lol.
Any other tips or advice?? I really want to do a good job with her! I’ve done lots of research but it’s easy to make mistakes or miss things I feel.
