S25 Ultra- The switch from iPhone has been utterly painful. Why is using this phone as a hot spot a living hell?
15 years of iPhone's here. Made the switch to Galaxy S25 Ultra this week. It's been hell, and the final straw is trying to use this phone as a tether either via USB or WiFi. I got the USB tether working eventually but it's still finiky to get going again if you unplug, and the Wifi oh my fricking god... utterly useless. I got my PC to connect to it ONCE and then it was gone forever, now it just spends a whole minute trying to connect until telling me ''connection failed''.
All I've heard for years if how amazing Samsung/Android is vs iPhone and I couldn't feel anymore foolish for actually believing it. So many big and little thing's are just not intuitive or don't even work at all on this damned phone. Even using the search function in the settings app in a nightmare. You can type the exact setting you're looking for and half the time it won't even show it in the available results. There's a tab called ''USB settings'' yet if you search ''USB settings'' it doesn't show up?! Madness.
I know i'm about to get flamed by all the android fanboys but I don't care, this is my experience, the first week of trying to wrestle with this operating system has been a nightmare. Countless little things on iPhone that just work and I feel like an idiot for switching.
