ragdoll kitten

i recently got a ragdoll kitten and he is not affectionate at all. he plays a lot and follows me around but does not like cuddles or affection. i am confused by this and at nights he does not sleep on the bed, usually on the floor i did research on this breed and i know they are supposed to be affectionate so i just want to understand if there is something i should be doing.
