Starting my poodle journey with this sweet girl

Meet Winter, the beautiful 6 year old standard that has stolen my heart.

I lost my childhood dogs last year, and after finally getting my own place, I overheard my coworker who shows poodles talking about selling some of her dogs. She described Winter as sweet, fat, and a couch potato, and I was curious so I decided to meet her.

Winter, or Born of Winter, was born to be a show dog like her mother, but with a bad hip she was instead fixed and kept as a family pet, and never saw show. They decided to sell her since she couldn’t be bred and was taking up space.

Meeting Winter, my first thought was that she looked like a crack head (see last slide) she was shaved down and had bad eye stain, but god was she the sweetest little thing. I decided there and then I wanted her, and a week later I brought her home.

She’s amazing. She’s so sweet and smart, she loves spending time with me and absolutely loves the snow, and I’m so happy to have met her.

Also, the poodle attitude is real for sure, this girl has sass!
