Mountain lion sightings in Plano confirmed by TPWD

We are sharing this update on behalf of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Biologists with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) confirmed security camera footage of a mountain lion in Plano on Friday, November 8. TPWD recently confirmed mountain lion sightings in Lake Dallas on October 27 and Frisco on November 1. All sightings have been recorded at night and no interactions with people or pets have been documented. It is likely that this mountain lion was just passing through and will not stay in the area for an extended period of time. Residents are asked to please report any additional mountain lion sightings to TPWD DFW Urban Wildlife Biologist, Rachel Richter, at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
