Indices other than the S&P 500

I know that S&P 500 is quite famous on this sub, and rightfully so, but is there anyone here who's also looking at other indices? (It can be from S&P Global or other companies)

Also, if you're into index funds, or other similar funds, do you look at the index it is following, or do you leave it to them (financial institutions)?
