"Water pool" cave room

Hey, just wondering if you buy the added room for your home cave "water pool" if you're able to drink from it? It's the last one of the available rooms for 1600 marks but I can see that being helpful. Does anyone have any insight on that? I wish I could put a freaking berry bush in there too but if I could get fresh water in it I'd be pretty hype. Just don't want to spend the marks if it's not even usable.
