So much for being lucky.
Im just posting this because I feel like other people could be in the same boat.
On 1/30/25 at 12:32 I thought I secured a fe rtx 5090 at bestbuy. Which is kinda crazy and didn’t seem real. Owned alot of cards but never had an fe before.
The pickup date is 2/6/2025. I contacted bestbuy live chat to make sure it actually went through. They said its on the way from another location and is expected to arrive on 2/6.
I contact them today as its not ready yet. The response was it wasn’t actually in stock. But their “managers are trying hard to get more, you’ll be priority”
Kind of seems like something shady is going on. I feel like a ton of other people may have this happen to them.
Its tempting to just cancel and save the $2230 as I bought a new power supply to support it and its already installed. One big reason I contacted them the first time is I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. If it was I was going to return.
Kind of disappointing. Feel like its probably time to just cancel as theyll probably have my money for quite some time.
Update.
It randomly showed available to pick up. The guy handing me my card said to me in a nervous way "Me and my co workers really hate sell this thing, sucks to see it go"
I don't blame bestbuy by the way. They've been awesome for a long time for me... but this experience was iffy.
