The Night Agent is terrible

I'm 5 episodes in and I think I'm just done. I do not get the buzz for this show. There's just so many things wrong with it and it's barely even mediocre. The only reason I stuck with it this far is my partner insisted that she thought it was ok but it might get better... It didn't.

First of all the acting from almost everybody is just terrible. Nobody has any charisma or acts like a normal person. Most of the dialogue is cheesy, corny, just straight up dumb. The silver haired lady is especially bad. Every character is a cliche.

Rose acts in a completely unbelievable way. Her aunt and uncle are murdered in front of her and she is now hunted herself by killers.

She doesn't seem at all traumatised by this or phased in any way. Most people including myself would be in absolute bits. Not only would we be dealing with the trauma and overwhelmed by grief we witnessed a murder and ourselves are hunted by trained killers!!

I also find her character absolutely unbelievably annoying. She's the same cardboard cut out strong independent female character that Hollywood seems only be able to write these days. She's just annoying and bitchy the whole time. It's such poor writing. Being strong doesn't really mean being sassy and fearless and sarcastic.

Night agent himself is just so bland and boring without any character whatsoever that I actually find it hard to have anything really to say about him.

The plot is bordering on nonsensical. It's simplistic end predictable. As with most western Hollywood shows these days the forced diversity is just distracting.

I nomally just watch k-drama but I thought I would give a Western show a chance since it's been a while since I watched them because they are normally rubbish. I'mma go back to k-drama.

Im truly baffled by why this is getting buzz.
