Is 55k Enough to Live Comfortably in Nashville? Need advice badly.
I need advice. I got laid off in December from a music tech company and I was making 65k while working remote in Atlanta/NYC. I fucking loved it... BUT since my layoff, I've been depressed af and have been applying since I got the news.
I love working in the music industry, and really want to stay in it because of the laid back culture. One of the music jobs I applied for reached back out and is based in Nashville. I had a few interviews and they offered me the job.
The only thing is... It's in Nashville and IDK shit about Nashville. On top of that, they are only paying 55k. ): Is 55k even enough to live comfortably out there? I'm a black guy that's 29 and the sound of just living in Nashville after living in Atlanta and NYC for the past 5 years just makes me sad LOL
It's been 2.5 months since the layoff and I fear the unknown. What would you guys do in my situation? I have a good amount of experience with reputable companies in my resume so idk if I should jump on this opportunity and thug it out or keep fishing.
Currently I'm at my dad's spot in Atlanta hating my life because I'm in limbo. Do I take the 55k job or do I keep applying? Is Nashville cool for someone about to be 30?
Someone help! Any advice is greatly appreciated.
