Fellow busy stores...
What does your receiving department look like? How many team members per shift? How many are actually "operators" and how many just strictly upstock. And how many do most of the bulk freight and retrieve cardboard carts?
Here at Baxter it seems we are pretty short on receiving team members. Granted there is an overnight crew and they end up handling most of the breakdown trucks. But during the day we are down to 2 consistent operators with 4 others who may occasionally run equipment but for the most part they are running cardboard or putting special orders away.
We've been riding on the backs of Tony and Charles it's seems... and now down the 1 closer we did have and they made him an assistant.
Rotatimg 2 or 3 team members to be the sole receiving closer doesn't fill the gaps they leave open...
