the streamer event using low-level accounts is a smack in the face to the player-base

do not misunderstand, this is not a plea for them to make the skin combo (which either will cost $44 dollars or $28 if they make it a bundle) more gettable, but rather that an event where people can get free skins shouldn't be exclusively given to newer players?

while it's not impossible to get into qp matches with low-level players, if you've played for a while, the algorithm definitely does not want you to, it'd sooner put you in with bots, and personally through all my qp matches at like lvl 40 i have not seen someone below like lvl 15 in my matches.

this means that the more likely recipients of this lottery in a way are low-level players, you'd up your chances just surfing on a low-level account. and so this is where the claim comes from that the free skins given out are exclusively for new players.

if it were more of an equal chance across all levels (through whatever means, it must be possible), then i would of course have no complaints, and any ones that i did have could be chalked up to envy, and whatnot.

i think, especially, these types of events should be skewed in favor of the higher level players, it gives new players an incentive to keep playing the game so they have a better chance of winning in these types of events, it is recognition of a player base by the developers, people who put time into the game because they enjoy it are seen and rewarded, it is a good precedent to set, and it's sort of a punch in the face to be penalized instead for having played the game before.

this isn't the end of the world, as with any event, so don't take this as like me releasing steam from my ears behind the screen, but i did want to make this point of view known because i think that these types of events - should netease choose to do them again - should be changed.

and yes im posting this right as the event is ending, i had the idea as soon as i learned the streamers were on low-level accounts

small edit: this was also given day-of notice, and on a weeknight, not too related to the point of levels, but an addition to the odd planning of this event
