A new collector needing your advice!

Hello all!!! It's great to be on this forum with so many people that love knives. I am a long time serious knife user and I have recently moved over into the world of collecting. I have always owned and used knives, and even own a prepper/survival store where I sell hundreds of different knives and brands. Till now though, I've never realized the vast amount of different brands and the wide range of prices. Therein lies the bases for this request for help and advice.

Like I said, I have jumped in to collecting head first. I have already collected several decent starter pieces and have a list of knives I am ordering this week. However, I am stumped on which knife should be my first higher end knife. I'm just now.learning all the models and it's overwhelming. Lol. I know what I like when watching all of the knife vids on YouTube and surfing the knife outlets online. I know what I would like, but don't yet know which ones will feel these wishes. I like the Chris Reeves knives, and hinderers.. knifes that scream beauty and craftsmanship. I just can make those my first purchases. I feel I need to earn that and grow into those works of art. What comes close to those at a slightly lower price?

Ok, here's my wishes. I have a $350 budget. I won't be using or edc this knife and don't need it to be a worker or performer. Yes, at that price I would like it to be capable, but I won't he testing those capabilities. I want something that carries the beauty (if possible) of a knife like I mentioned and something that is a chunky knife. Definitely a folder! Don't care which brand and I'm not set on handle materials. I just want the best knife I can get for the money, if that makes sense,

I know there are options out there and I'm hoping this forum can help me. Also, should I buy a "used" knife that would offer more for the price or stick with new? Last but not least, what's the best place online to find these knives? Knifecanter? BladeHQ? Some other place? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! I'm glad to be part of this forum and look forward to asking and sharing everything about knives from here on.
