NJ Transit Bus Ticket/Light Rail Question

I’ve seen a couple people ask on the subreddit, but I’m a little confused by the verbiage used on the NJ Transit website and what’s been said here.

On the website it says, “You can use a two-zone or greater NJ TRANSIT bus pass to travel on Hudson-Bergen Light Rail at no additional charge during the period it is valid.”

When they refer to a two-zone bus “pass” is this referring to some sort of monthly pass type deal, or does a one way two-zone single TICKET count as “pass” as well?
