Back piece and sleeves planning
First time posting here, but have been gathering a wealth of information from this forum over the last several months.
Was hoping to get some feedback on a couple of ideas I'm having trouble deciding between as far as motifs to pair together for a backpiece and both sleeves. I'm fairly set on doing a giant koi for the backpiece, but have been going back and forth between a few different ideas for each sleeve. So looking for thoughts on the following:
1) Left arm Phoenix, right arm dragon
I'm aware this wouldn't technically be 100% by the book with regard to rules for air and water, but I've seen plenty of examples from pretty traditional artists where the back is water and the arms have air, and it seems to work.
2) Left arm more koi, right arm dragon
Would it look weird/unbalanced to have koi on both the back and one arm and then something different on the other arm?
3) Both arms more koi, one arm swimming up, one arm swimming down
Or is that maybe just too many koi? Worried I might start to look like a walking aquarium. Also thought about potentially doing the back as Oniwakamaru for this option, but still really prefer the classic simplicity of just a giant koi.
Any feedback or thoughts would be much appreciated!
