Lack of privacy due to low fences and houses close together?
I am really grateful to have a house , to have been able to buy it, but as the title describes: I don’t know if I’m just more sensitive to it - as my spouse doesn’t even seem to notice - but I feel so closed in because of neighbors behind us and on both sides of it with a relatively low wooden fence between us all. Like when they’re in their own yards walking around , I can see them. I’m pretty sure they can see right into my house too (yeah I realize I could close shades but I like the shades to be open to let the light in). I’ve met them before and they seem nice and all so it’s not like I have creepy neighbors or anything - it’s just getting used to this is for some reason, is hard for me, even after having this house for several years. It isn’t something I thought of or really noticed when buying the house so that’s on me I suppose. But definitely more privacy in an apartment.
If I purchased trees or shrubs to go along the fence, do you think it’d make a difference? All the houses are two story houses so it’s not like it’s going to block everything but maybe it’d feel different?
