Strymon Iridium: what are you using for output monitoring other than headphones?

I have my pedalboard run into a Strymon Iridium for amp simulation, and when I use headphones or output to my interface/mix everything is great. But… I don’t always want to wear headphones. I want a speaker in the room to hear what I’m doing, but I’m a little lost picking what to use. Of note, this is a normal sized room in my home; not a place I want to be too loud.

• I have a guitar amp in the room. But going into that is a bit of “double dipping” and defeats the purpose of using a tailored amp sim. • There are desktop studio monitors. They seem tailored to desktop music production and extending mixing sessions with your laptop, which is not the ergonomics of a live performance situation I’m in. • There are PA speakers that are intended for filling larger spaces than I’m talking about here. Seems like overkill. • There are wedge stage monitors that are generally paired with a PA system but seem close to the intended use here. Picking one for home use seems strange though. • I gather I can turn off the cab sim on the Iridium and connect to a cabinet, although I’ve also gathered I’d need a power amp.

Iridium users, what are you using? Those with a home guitar studio setup, how would you approach this?
