Need Flashlights and Lanterns for Looking at Homes and Outdoor Properties
Hi all. I'm looking to acquire 3-4 flashlights and 1-2 lanterns that would be suitable for viewing homes, yards, and properties in the dark in the evening.
Background: I am a realtor and daylight savings time is rapidly coming to a close. I love meeting with my clients in the evenings to look at homes when their schedule allows (generally after they get off work), but once daylight savings ends, the darkness usually complicates this.
Previously, I would usually just take a couple of the bigger flashlights from Home Depot or Lowes and hand them out so we can all take a look together. However, I don't have all the same make/ model and would like everything to be uniform if possible. I might also like something a little bit of a step up from HD/ Lowes.
These are primarily going to be used in a residential/ suburban setting, so I just need something that can light up the exterior of a home so we can look around the exterior walls and front/ back yards. Occasionally rural, but that's more the exception than the rule.
Either battery powered or rechargeable are ok. (probably favor rechargeable, but definitely not a deal breaker) The ability to widen or focus the beam would be good too (I figure most lights have this). I don't need any kind of strobe or anything like that (I usually find these features annoying, but I don't really care about them).
Medium to large sizes are preferable - nothing small. 8-12 inches in length and 1-2 inch diameter for the grip.
Budget is $30-$70 per light? (IDK if this is reasonable or not. Any education here would be great).
Should maintain brightness for at least one evening's worth of bright viewing outdoors in the dark. Maybe 20-30 minutes of continuous runtime? (again - IDK how reasonable this is)
Lastly - if anyone has some recommendations for lanterns, that would be amazing as well. Similar use case, but obviously not focusing the light at all.
