How do you check for endo in nosebleeds?
Hi all, for years I've tended to get nosebleeds before and during my period. Nothing terrible in itself, just kind of annoying. Over the last few months though, I've started to get nosebleeds more frequently, and the blood is more tacky - it tends to hurt after it's dried and what's more seems to be leaving cuts. I'd put it down to humidity or the weather except that this is new.
I'm on birth control to manage symptoms, which means no periods but as a tradeoff it's pretty common for me to get daily cramps/basically the same feelings I get in the leadup to a period (I've been on three different pills, this has been the best one so far but it's back to acting the same), which has me wondering if the nosebleeds are part of that, especially because I'm aware endo can get in your nose.
Is there a way to check if it's endo? I've got a GP who's been very sympathetic, just limited in what she can do, so I wanted to know if there's anything I can ask her if I bring the nosebleeds up or any tests I could request, or if I'm just going to have to wait til I see gynae. I don't particularly want to find endo in my nose but if it's there, well, at least that's a way easier sample to get I guess.
