I’ve pulled myself out of my funk.
This diamond painting has been sitting on our kitchen table for months. I haven’t had any desire to work on it after it had been kitted up and worked on maybe 3 sections worth. I’ve been suffering with a lot of anxiety this past year, and my mind always thought “You NEED to focus on what you’re anxious about, instead of a healthy distraction.” Mostly about weather, storms etc. I noticed myself not enjoying ANYTHING anymore and thought enough is enough.
I pulled out our card table in the living room and brought everything out here and set up. In the last 3 days I’ve found my love for diamond painting again, working on it as much as I can. Isolating myself in the dining room before I felt distant from my family. And when I DID feel like working on it, I felt selfish. Now my 3 year old son loves sitting at the table watching me and helping me pick out the next color.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, breaks from projects can help you find your passion again. Whether it be from burn out, life situations, or anything really. I’m so glad to be back 🙂
