Any reason my check engine light would come on?
I have a 2018 Chevy Malibu (119,000 miles) and at first, the check engine light would come on and then go off the next day and it did this for about three weeks. But then, the check light has been on every day since the middle of November. I must admit I do need the spark plugs changed, the cabin air filter replaced, and I also need the brake fluid exchanged.
Has anyone experienced an issue with the same thing? I genuinely think it’s the spark plugs that is causing the light to come on.
The only reason why I have not got a diagnostic is because most places, the fee to diagnose does not go towards the service. If I take it to Chevy, I feel like it would be overpriced for any work being done.
SN: I also meant to to add, that about three weeks ago when I turned my car on and started driving, the StabiliTrak notification came up and my car was shaking a little bit, but all I had to do was turn it off. When I cut the car back on, it has not done that since. I plan on getting the spark plugs changed in a few weeks. I telework mostly so I don’t drive the car every day.
