How do I dash into..

How the hell do I dash into a successful parry when I’m far away? I didn’t even know you could do it until I saw someone do it on YouTube. I’m up against Lady Maria and keep landing parries but half the time, I can’t get to her in time. I’ve just been rolling towards her but it’s not quick enough.
