About 6 months ago my doctor swabbed a sore on my dick and told me I had genital herpes. It wasn’t the end of the world but now it kind of is. I think I’m having a bad flare up on multiple spots on my dick. It started about 5 weeks ago when I was topping this guy (I told him I had HSV but I didn’t have any current sores and he didn’t care lol) towards the end of me fucking him I noticed this one spot on my dick kinda stung when I would go in and out of him. Later that week (right before new years) I realized I had what was basically a scrape on the side of my dick. It’s still there now and is really struggling to heal. I stopped jacking off in order to let it heal but every once in a while I will jerk off just my tip. It still won’t heal and now I’m noticing other spots on my dick that are basically small dry patches of skin on my shaft. This has never happened to me before in my life and I don’t know what else would be the cause besides the fact that I have HSV. I’m thinking that maybe the virus is drying out my genital skin. My doctor has examined it twice and she claims it’s just basically a rug burn but I know that it’s related to hsv somehow because I noticed a new dry itchy spot today after not touching my dick or rubbing it on anything lol. I just don’t understand because my doctor swears it’s not related to an STD. She said just leave it alone and let it heal but I’m also worried that morning wood and random erections are stretching the skin and reopening the wound. Has this ever happened to anyone with or without HSV? What did u do? How long did it take to heal? Should I moisturize the wound or let it dry out? Please share any advice please as this is seriously fucking w my dating life😵‍💫 (also acyclovir meds give me intense stomach issues so that is kind of out of the question)
