Should I surrender my PRULink plan?

I bought my PRULink plan back in 2020 when I had a full-time job and larger, steady income, but right now I'm in university and no longer working full-time, so finances are quite tight and I'm thinking to cut back on the unnecessary plans, i.e. PRULink. It's less than $200/month, but I think on a cumulative level it'll be a lot for me to handle across the next couple of years. I've seen the policy value and I'm definitely losing quite a bit of money if I surrender now, so I'm quite conflicted.

So should I surrender? And if I wish to surrender, do I need to speak to my FC about it? I don't really know my FC as I was transferred to him from a previous FC (the one I bought my Prudential plans from). So unless I need to, I don't think I want to have to go through him.
