Safety difference between LiIon and LiPoly batteries?
So I’ll be honest I didn’t really pay attention and bought a LiIon battery 7/8 months ago, used it a few times, and forgot it plugged in my gun until now. I just bought a lower voltage LiIon battery, as well. Looking it up they seem pretty safe and no risk of random explosions like LiPoly ones, but on Evike’s website they still give a warning of explosion for LiPoly/LiMn batteries - I know there’s literally always a tiny risk of explosion with any battery in anything, not just airsoft. And I know airsoft LiPoly batteries are especially bad. But are LiIon ones the same risk? Like, should I be putting them in fireproof bags inside fireproof containers? Or as long as I don’t like throw it at a wall or drop a boulder on it I should be fine? Thanks in advance!
