INNER CIRCLE HYPOCRISY?

SPOILERS IF U HAVENT FINISHED ACOWAR

I haven’t read the books in a while, so I could be wrong, but does anyone else thinks its a little sus that the inner circle is against lying, but they have yet to tell Lucien and Helion they are son/father? I mean their all about being truthful to their friends, but yet they withhold this information from them? Again, haven’t read the books in a while so I could be missing some key bits of information here, but just my thoughts.
