My worries confirmed

Island trailer dropped and well… my fear of this game becoming filled with micro transactions are true. 36,000 vs for a jacket? Absurd. To give a comparison from nba city, a pair of shoes is 4,000 to 9,000 VC. That takes multiple games of playing to even afford ONE pair of shoes. And the fact they made it where you have to buy a pair of Jordans on the island to use on created superstars you use offline? That’s not crazy to y’all? You can barely have matches work online as it is so how much is this gonna crash the game now? Also the objectives on the island are the same boring as missions on nba. You walk for 5 minutes to get a terrible cutscene that just drains you from playing the actual game. If you like the island mode, that’s fine and it could have some fun elements to it but overall this is just a massive money grab from 2k. I also heard they barely did anything with gm and universe mode so now we will never get that to where it needs to be. They’ll spend years on working on the island cause it’s gonna bring in the most money. So with this island mode, I’d kiss any chances of having an upgraded universe/gm mode for a few years. I know I’m gonna get a lot of comments saying “you don’t know any of this; the games not out yet” but I’m a big nba 2k fan and that’s exactly what happened with this game.
