I drop 20-30+ kills every unrated game I play, but placed Bronze 1 in comp, what am I doing wrong?

I just finished my placement matches, I lost every single match. I was MVP of 3 out of the 5, and surrendered 2 (those were the only 2 I didn’t place MVP in). I don’t think my rank reflects my skill whatsoever.

Last time I played comp, I placed somewhere high silver (maybe silver 3) and I was worse than I am now. My unrated game I played to warm-up to my placement game I dropped 29 kills, so how come my next comp game I dropped 15 as an MVP and lost a devastating 4-13.

Am I doing something wrong, is competitive just a completely different level from unrated, or am I just incredibly unlucky?

If you guys have a similar experience how’d you manage it, or am I just this bad?
