What stadiums should host the College Football Playoff Championship next?
Seeing as we're already 11 years into the College Football Playoff, I think it's time we have a discussion about what stadiums should get a chance to host the CFP national championship next.
The CFP national championship has already been held in Atlanta, LA, Houston, DFW, Miami, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Tampa, and Las Vegas has already been selected as a host city for 2027.
Now, seeing as those cities already hosted one, I have a few proposed host cities for future CFP title games:
Ford Field (Detroit)
U.S. Bank Stadium (Minneapolis)
EverBank Stadium (Jacksonville)
Alamodome (San Antonio)
New Titans Stadium (Nashville)
MetLife Stadium (NYC)
New Bears Stadium (Chicago)
Rose Bowl (Pasadena)
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (LA)
And those are the stadiums I can think of off the top of my head.
I really think Ford Field especially should get to host the CFP championship. I mean, it already hosted the Super Bowl and the Final Four, and is going to host the Final Four again in a couple years, so why not?
The Alamodome has been host to many Final Fours and recently hosted it in 2018.
EverBank Stadium is where the Jaguars play and is in a warm weather city. Ditto for the Rose Bowl and LA Memorial Coliseum, which are also warm weather.
The new Titans and Bears stadiums will both be dome stadiums.
U.S. Bank Stadium is an obvious choice.
MetLife Stadium may be a bit of a stretch though. But it did host the Super Bowl before, so it's not out of the question entirely.
Do you guys agree with this list? Were there any other stadiums I missed or should have mentioned?
