Veterans who received a disability rating for a physical injury at a relatively young age {serious}

I’m 30 years old and have a 70% disability rating due to various helicopter shenanigans. I’m in good shape at the moment, but the VA docs are telling me my back is pretty jacked up and some of my other joints are deteriorating quite rapidly. I feel great most of the time but every once in a while I’ll tweak my body and be in a LOT of pain for a couple days. It makes me worry about what my future looks like in the next 10, 20, 30 years and beyond. I want to have children and I want to be able to pick up those children for as long as I can. Fellow veterans who had something similar happen, how did it play out? Do you have any recommendations? What should I be doing now to increase my chances at longevity?
