What's your opinion on how Edward II died?

To clarify, I'm not talking about the red hot poker thing. I'm quite sure most of us know that that's probably not true. What I am curious about is how many of you believe Edward II escaped Berkeley Castle and lived past 1327. I'm personally on the fence about it, seeing as though the Fieschi Letter is practically confirmed not to be a forgery, at least, but I personally doubt that Edward II would have been able to escape so easily.

I think both sides have compelling arguments, and as such I genuinely can't decide which theory is most likely to be correct, hence why I'm asking all of you.
