Cutting Elon out of Your Portfolio—Is It Even Possible?
I’m so over this guy. Watching federal workers get sidelined for doing their jobs pissed me off, but then there’s the weird salute, stirring up tariff wars, going full right-wing, and even attacking his own kids. It’s nonstop.
I don’t want my money anywhere near him, but avoiding Elon-backed companies isn’t that simple. Tesla, SpaceX, X—he’s got his hands in everything. Even though I don’t own Tesla stock directly, it’s sitting in my index funds.
So what’s the move? Can you actually build a portfolio that dodges Musk entirely? Does Vanguard or BlackRock have an index fund that leaves him out? I asked a trading AI, and it came up with Defiance XMAG ETF and Kernel Global 100, but I’m not familiar with them. Anyone know if they’re solid options, or is there a better way to invest without him?
