Is everyone really dry?

I don’t know if my standards are too high, but I feel like almost everyone here is extremely dry. Commonly when you have a conversation with someone, if they say something like “oh yeah I study this and that” then someone would normally respond with “that’s cool or that sucks, I study this” however, mostly nowadays I just see “fair enough” or “that’s cool” is it just me, or is that really bland?
