Cheating and justifying
Is it just me? I have sophomores and in my many years haven’t seen an uptick of cheating except when new tech makes it temporary easier for a minute.
But today I want to scream because of the gaslighting and lying when caught.
Example caught a kid dead to rights asking his neighbor to give him the answers on the quiz. The same questions I had just refused to give him the help he needed because it was the test.
I thought I had submitted it and was just asking for help after. Nope it was open and you were typing.
It was the helpers idea. Nope this kid won’t speak unless you beg him to.
You wouldn’t t help me. Tried to yesterday and you were off task and didn’t want help, not helping during.
Other people were talking why me. I’m not discussing them with you and it doesn’t matter you were cheating.
Now mom wants a phone call. Nah I’m not taking that call until Monday.
Kid you didn’t study and panicked, own it and move on. It’s exhausting.
