About Switch's online.

Tldr: So I'm (relatively) new in the Switch ecosystem, and I've been wondering, what are y'all(s) favorite online games/dynamics for the Switch?

While I never had a Wii/Wii-U, I've had Nintendo handhelds before and I played around with friends on their consoles; and they all just seemed very strong social-wise, what with the Miiverse, the Colours! apps, go-to games for local multiplayer, and all.

So far the Nintendo Switch hasn't completely had that spark for me, or at least it isn't as immediately obvious on where to look: I've played Minecraft local, Mario Kart & Smash (and I've honestly had a lot of fun with them) I was also planning on buying Nintendo Switch Sports, but I hear a lot of people say it isn't worth it (What are your thoughts on that?).

So yeah, that's basically it–to those of you more experienced: how do you satiate your "Social Nintendo" needs? Are there any social platforms on the Switch? Fun gimmicks? What are the best games for online, and/or local multiplayer?
