Songs with unexpectedly heavy/deep lyrics

Looking for inspiration/case studies - Do you know of any songs that are particularly heavy or deep despite initial appearances?

A classic is Blue (Dabadee) - a novelty song or a cry for help? That breed of classic trancy pop is pretty good for this, I Turn to You by Mel C is a good one, or Gala Freed From Desire.

But I'm looking for, like, "You really need to hear the verses of the Macarena in English" or "Bob the builder tackles grief in a really poignant way"...

Any ideas guys?
