Wow knitting is hard

I'm a guy who never has adequate socks, so I decided to learn to knit socks.

I play a lot of hard video games like Sekiro and that sort of thing and have achieved a lot of stuff like beating bosses without getting hit using extravagant, showy methods. This required hours of sitting in a chair, holding a controller in my hands, performing fine motor skills while paying a great deal of attention to detail - exactly how many strikes can I get away with between the bosses attacks here? Exactly how long do I have to move there? Is it better to dodge here or deflect? Or Jump? It also involves a lot of persistence. Didn't get it right? Start again. Learn and do better.

So when I saw that knitting was all about sitting there manipulating a controller (needles) while paying fine attention to detail, I figured I can solve my sock problem. I'll just learn to knit. I'll use that same calm persistence to just learn, and learn, and learn until I get it perfect, like when I beat Owl Father in perfect style. Same thing.

So far, things are going how I expected where it comes to the feel of learning knitting. I am indeed sitting down failing over and over, before calmly resetting and trying again.

What I am shocked by is that it's really, really hard. Knitting might be the hardest video game I've played in over a year.
