Dress code for the dance party

For anyone who’s been to something like this what was the dress code? Did you dress up or did you wear your regular clothes? I’ve never been to anything like this so I’m really asking for advice so I can know what to expect! I already bought my outfit for this to 😅. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you.
