Owner aking for a discount

Update #2: They booked with me today without a discount! Update: I told them that I would need to archive the request if they didn't respond by noon today. They responded that they are still reviewing their options, and they will let me know by tomorrow. Again, the dog is super sweet and it's a good amount of money for the booking, so I don't want to burn the bridge. It's so disappointing that people don't value the work we put into caring for their pets. The photos from other sitters that are on the dog's profile show a bunch of dogs in a small space, kenneled in with fencing. I only take 2 dogs at a time and they are free to go wherever they want in my home. I wonder what that sitter was charging for the level of care they were providing. I had a great meet and greet yesterday with an adorable bulldog. The owners met my husband and adult daughter along with my dog and one of my cats. Everything went well. We all clicked. Tgey mentioned that he would need his face wrinkles and anus would need to be wiped before bed each night and he would need eye drops daily. No problem since he's adorable and easy-going.I booked as soon as they left, but didn't hear anything back from them. When I messaged them this afternoon to let them know the booking would expire in 2 days if they didn't accept, just as a reminder. They responded asking if I would discount their 12 day stay. There is no holidays during the booking, so it was my regular rate. I thought about it for a minute, then responded that I felt my rate was fair based on his needs. The exchange is attached. I haven't heard back from him and I'm bummed because he's a really adorable dog and it's an over $600 booking. I feel like the response was professional and keeping my boundaries. Am I wrong?
