Best espresso maker?

Hi y’all , When I’m not pontificating about the loss of our profession to poorly trained noctors and poctors, I’m dreaming about the perfect cup of espresso. I want to save money so I am trying to only buy coffee rarely.

With that being said, what’s everyone’s favorite machine for espresso? Coffee too if that helps. I’ve already tried making coffee via a French press and it tasted terrible. Thanks 😊
