Post Cast experiences?

Our four year old broke her leg and was in a full leg cast for six weeks. The good news is her injury is healed completely! The bad news is she refuses to walk THREE WEEKS after cast removal. She has definitively not reinjured the leg. Her bone is completely healed. While the muscles weakened a bit she can kick, do a flute bridge, ride a trike…so it can bear weight.

We have tried PT, Chiropractor, exercising, getting her in the hot tub, rewards, you name it.

Has anyone had a similar experience with a broken leg in a young child? We are so bummed for her as she is missing out on a lot since she refuses to walk and it has been so difficult for our family.
