New fan - Enies Lobby

Pointless post - just a new fan gushing over One Piece.

I've never been interested in starting One Piece; mostly because there were so many chapters and it felt too goofy for my tastes.

But I started reading last month after seeing the hype around Gear 5 and the Netflix adaptation and wow I've been missing out. I just finished the Water 7 Saga and I just want to say that the Enies Lobby arc is peak shonen. I love the character development and world building!!! The goofiness of the series is perfect and I don't think any other shonen (DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, MHA, JJK, AOT, FMA, HxH) has ever made me feel this much.

The highlights for me so far: - "I want to live" 😭 - Seeing everyone get a bounty. Chopper's bounty is killing me 🤣 - Franky joining the crew

Okay rant over, I'm sure y'all have already discussed this to death 10+ years ago.
