New player, what are the gacha rates like, and is the game f2p friendly?

Have only mainly played HSR and ZZZ. How does the F2P experience and gacha rate compare to the likes of those two games? Is this game f2p friendly, and is it a good game to hop on here and there as a side game when i'm bored?

Also, please tell me there's none of that relic/artifact grind
