C2 vs. signature weapon?

Hey all, I use Neuvi a ton so I was planning to pull his signature weapon, but now that I see the weapon banner will be Vortex Vanquisher as the second weapon I am a bit more hesitant. That said, I'm not sure if I will want to wait until his next rerun to get it with how much I play him. So two questions:

1) likely how long will it be before we see Neuvilette (and thus his weapon) again? 2) Is it worth just pulling his C2 instead? How much of a damage difference would it be between the two, and I can catch his signature next time?
