Finally, I managed to make the Neural plugins sound good

For years, I have always tried the Neural plugins using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd gen) and I was never even remotely satisfied with the result.

Even setting the input to zero as has been suggested for some time, it always sounded wrong to me.

Recently, I bought a Fractal FM3 and out of curiosity, I tried opening Archetype Tim Henson using the FM3 as audio interface and setting the input between -6 and -16 dB and... OMG, it sounded amazing!

I tried again with the Scarlett and nope... there's no way to make it sound good. It's as if the input knob set to the minimum is still too hot for the plugin. And lowering the input from the plugin doesn't do the trick; the excessively strong input from the Scarlett creates unwanted distortions regardless.

At this point, I wonder, what is a good audio interface that allows lowering the input below zero like the FM3 does? Because it feels a bit strange to turn it on that expensive machine just to use it as an audio interface lol

How are the new generations of the Scarlett?
